I used to use the bin32 version from AUR but I prefer using SIP through my ISP now. Much cheaper.

Re: does anybody on this forum using skype+arch x64 ?

I am using bin32-skype on a 64 bit arch installation, it works fine. My webcam is a Logitech quickcam pro 9000. I followed this article http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Webcam, so you might want to have a look at it.

maybe that's your problem?

pacman -Rd vlc-plugin

did it for me.

Re: does anybody on this forum using skype+arch x64 ?

I've removed vlc full, I don't have vlc-plugin
and run the string LD_PRELOAD=/opt/lib32/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so skype
after clicking on webcam test video button, skype gone !
