ArchRouter: UPnP

Hey Archers!

I'm about to embark on the journey of transforming an old box into a souped-up router for around 20 people. I've started a thread on the topic, since I intend to document the process and *possibly* create a lightweight web interface to make management of a linux router as simple as a storebought one, but much more powerful! Anyways, that belongs in another thread; this is about UPnP.

Onto the question:

I remembered today that I should have a UPnP on the router, as there's often torrenting going on (as well as Skype, etc.). My research has turned up one solution, using linuxigd from AUR, as per the Gentoo wiki. I also noticed in AUR that there is a gupnp-igd package. GUPnP looks to be a library for writing upnp capable programs, but documentation on gupnp-igd isn't forthcoming. Can I use gupnp-igd for this? Should I? Is it possible to just use iptables? Note if you intend to posit a solution using iptables, I can't use static ip addresses; I have to assign ip's dynamically with dhcp for this to be at all manageable in my situation.

Thanks!

Re: ArchRouter: UPnP

Looks like a dubplicate of the other thread. Since that one has a response, closing this one.
