Yes. Eventually every option will have to be modified through the regis-- er ... gconf.

That's atleast my prediction.

gnote-lite from AUR doesn't seem to compile with the new gtk+, but it does run with the new gtk+ if compiled with an earlier version.

God damn those new toolbar icons look horrible! Watching those drawings is like going back in time to junior high when people drew with Deluxe Paint II!

I want the nice blue ones back.

You're right. I noticed it was colored red. Whichever action I add it is red and doesn't appear in the context menu. It doesn't appear in the toolbar if I set that option too. So I have no idea what's going on. But I'm certain it's not supposed to be like this. Nautilus actions look completely broken to me.

I'm seriously going to ditch as many gnome apps as I can. Something breaks with every update...

Restart doesn't help. Nothing help, actually. I've tried already everything that I think could cause this. Somebody should report bug.
But I've never do that and with my lack of english I don't think I'm a proper person :-)

I've got strange behaviour from gnome-keyring I'm running KDEmod and it has always asked me for the keyring passsword when nm-applet statred and it kept on working for the whole session in evolution etc..
Now this stopped working and seahorse says there is no service for the secrets, it doesn't even work if I switch to GDM as a login manager. Even though the keyring unlogging module is in it's PAM config.
It also seems to me that the slight flicker bug I've got with the Intel driver which a friend reports will be fixed with 2.6.33 which he is running has become worse then it was before the last wave of upgrades.

Fixed it with a custom autostart script that executes "export $(gnome-keyring-daemon)" and that's it.

Ahh... a couple of very useful updates there for me. The number of times I pressed delete while editing command parameters and the whole action disappeared One obvious use of the "no selection" feature is I can now unmount an ISO quicker.

Hi gang,

My update did not go so well. I went from 2.28 to 2.30 with the radeonhd 1.3.0-1 driver.
I'm currently stuck with a very ugly theme on panels and applications (or perhaps no theme
at all? The look is similar to using gtk2 apps without a .gtkrc file with a non-gnome wm).

I cannot theme *anything* by way of system -> Preferences -> Appearance: buttons are not
themed, can't change the default icons to another set, etc. My "look" is just wedged as is.

I've tried creating a new user and logging with that user but the issue is the same. Logged
out, restarted X, restarted system, etc. Tried reinstalling most of the gnome packages, same.
I'm stumped. Sad.

The last time I tried using xf86-video-ati, I had all kinds of issues with my dual
monitor setup (stange screen artifiacts, etc.) Anyway, I decided to try the
ati driver again at your suggestion.

My screen problems with this driver remain but it appears that my gnome theme
issue has been SOLVED by changing the video driver to ati. Thanks! Now I have
to try again to work through the screen trouble.

Same problem here. But at least in my case it wasn't introduced in gnome 2.30, but in gnome 2.24 or so. (more or less the same time gnome-power-manager moved from hal to device-powerkit (now upower)).

radeon; however, I just spend about an hour with my xorg.conf and it's fixed. I had to be
a bit more fussy about the the driver options and virtual screen size to get xrandr to work
proplerly with my two panels. There were some very nasty screen artifacts using radeon but
those are not present with ati in xorg.conf. I appreciate the suggestions flamelab.

I'm using radeonhd from the repo and it's fine here. I've got some firefox scrolling bugs with radeonhd (it smears because of incorrect updating) but had that from the beginning and it's only in firefox and seems to get better.

Nope, it happens to me now and I haven't changed anything in the apppearence. And btw I'm using nvidia.

I've reseted theme to "default" using gconf-editor, but it didn't help.

Not sure if it has been said yet but, this upgrade broke libffi for me. This in turn broke the Gnome clock applet, and Terminator.

Fixed by simply pacman -S libffi

I've got some small issues with evolution:

1. When showing messages that are adressed to a lot of recipients, there is an icon to show/hide all these adresses. This icon is missing in 2.30 for me.

2. Translation (into german) is not complete. E.g. when moving messages to another folder there are some english texts in the dialog.

Can anyone confirm that?
