Hello folks,
I'm in the process of installing a vpn tunnel for my torrent client.
It seems a bit complicated [1] and [2].
Is there another way to connect to a vpn 'simply' ?
I just want one app to go through.
Also, I was thinking, wouldn't it be great to have a torrent client (or whatever app) able to connect to a vpn on its own ?

since vpn requires root previleges, creating a torrent client with built in vpn support would be a security risk, as to your vpn tunnel, is there any step you are stuck at or need help with?

Isn't that for setting up a vpn server ?
I just want to connect to one, not host one !

The UNIX philosophy is 'combine specialised tools that all do one thing very well' and not 'have one big tool that does lots of things, but most of them half-ass'.
So no, it makes little sense to have a torrent client with VPN support.
If you want to use VPN, you need to set up a 'server' for it. Without a server no way to connect to it from your client. It's like wanting to use a browser without having an internet connection.

since you want to connect to a vpn, i m guessing that you already have an account, and its most likely windows pptp. you can find the guide here http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Mic … pptpclient
