Upps, I uploaded wrong DB file :-) It should be fixed now. Thanks

I tried upgrading atop of my current installation... and it failed
kdebase-workspace was conflicting with kde 4.4 kdebase-runtime files
kdebase-runtime was conflicting with phonon-gstreamer files and some of kde 4.4 kdelibs
After -Sf'ing (with my responsibility) kde 4.5, plasma-desktop wouldn't start and dolphin was complaining for "undefined symbols".
Sorry for not taking the exact messages, but I was urging to downgrade to kde 4.4 from extra.

flamelab, I just tested i686 in VirtualBox.
Conflicts between KDE 4.5 and KDE 4.4 packages is nothing surprising - the libraries were simply moved. Weird - why does pacman even report with this? kdebase-runtime-4.4.* will be updated to 4.5 which does not conflict with kdebase-workspace so everything should be OK, or not?
I successfully logged in to KDE, both plasma and Dolphin are working. Do you have [testing] enabled and did you update whole system?

Works fine here, faster than kde 4.4.

Hi,
did you put this repo BEFORE the other repos in pacman.conf ? Also this KDE has group called "kde-snapshots" not "kde" as in [extra].

libstreamanalyzer should be part of kdesupport-strigi. It seems to be a missing soname there. Try making a symlink /usr/lib/libstreamanalyzer.so.0 -> /usr/lib/libstreamanalyzer.so
I will fix this in next release.

Thank you very very much, ProgDan!

i have tried, now libstreamanalyzer.so.0 exist, but is empty and display this error: kdeinit4: error while loading shared libraries: libstreamanalyzer.so.0: cannot open shared object file: the file are too short, i have also tried remove strigi-analyzer, but the error persists.

You have to create a symlink:
ln -s /usr/lib/libstreamanalyzer.so /usr/lib/libstreamanalyzer.so.0
so libstreamanalyzer.so.0 will point (link) to the original libstreamanalyzer.so

As soon as it will be marked in SVN, I'll build it :-) It should be today or tomorrow.
Just three weeks to my final exams on high school, then I'll return to regular weekly snapshots ;-)

venky80: ad knetworkmanager: this is probably not packaging-related issue. It can be caused by bad or old configuration, try removing all related config files and then running the knetworkmanager again. Possibly, it can just be broken in current snapshot :-). For this problems use KDE mailing lists or forums next time please. This thread is related to packaging of KDE snapshots, but does not provide any support for problems with KDE functionality.
ad Cantor: yop, this is probably be related to packaging. In Arch the R libraries are in /usr/lib/R/lib/libR.so (why on Earth???) so if you need to run Cantor, run it from console by
LD_LIBRARY_PATH="/usr/lib/R/lib/:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH" cantor
I will fix this in next release. I don't know what happened to this week snapshot, because usually snapshots are released on Wednesday or Thursday and it's already Saturday and still nothing...
And finally, something that is not related to anything above in this post, but for those who are interested in these news, KDEPIM2 will not make it to KDE 4.5. Here is the blog post: http://thomasmcguire.wordpress.com/2010 … 5-release/ .
On one side, I'm quite disappointed because I'm really looking forward for all it's features, on the other hand, it's good that boys from KDE decided not to hurry things up and releasing an unfinished product.

wow... i have a serious speed-regression in latest snapshots.... wonder where those come from. its nearly unusable with activated effects. (and definately VERY laggy if blur effect is on)
