Any DJ's out there?

So, do any of you people use your Arch for DJ'ing? Practice/fun/live?

Also, does anyone use bpmdj? xD

Used to play around with mixx with ubuntu. Was fun, now I just use my Ableton/Traktor combi and win7. Audio and linux, lovely when it runs, but hell before it runs....

Re: Any DJ's out there?

I have an Arch machine setup that lives in my rack for music, but not for proper DJ'ing -- I stick to CD for that.

I use it for the quiet/background music parts of the night with mpd and a wireless access point so I can control it using my iPod/iPhone with the mpod app big_smile

Means I can wander around the audience or go for a smoke/toilet break and still control the track and volume tongue

Coolade,

Guess there are some DJs out there! xD

Ive been trying to set my laptop up for it, but I cant seem to get alsa to play ball anymore. So yeah, Im sticking to CDs too for the time!

@fukawi2: Yeah, thats pretty sweet man. I still love the fact that I can control mpd off of my 'droid. Cant say I use it in live environments or anything like that, just scare my house-mates sometimes when Im in the kitchen
