Re: Where is empathy?

I did the following:

pacman -S empathy telepathy-gabble

and it installed fine. The problem is that even though I installed the gabble protocol (XMPP/Google Talk), it doesn't show any protocols installed in Empathy. Anyone else have this problem?

relogin or do killall -HUP dbus-daemon

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Re: Where is empathy?

I need to have the "location" option enabled in Empathy (so I can see my contacts on a map) but apparently the repo version doesn't have it by default. I tried to recompile one of the AUR version called empathy-indicate 2.30.1-2 and added --enable-location to the PKGBUILD but it requires libindicate which refuses to compile on my machine. I get a :

Couldn't find include 'DbusmenuGlib-0.2.gir' (search path: ['.', '/usr/share/gir-1.0', '/usr/local/share/gir-1.0', '/usr/share/gir-1.0', '/usr/share/gir-1.0', '/usr/share/gir-1.0'])
make[3]: *** [Indicate-0.2.gir] Erreur 1

I do have libdbusmenu compiled and installed.

Any idea?

Re: Where is empathy?

Didn't think about ABS because I never used it. I'm recompile the abs version of empathy wit the additional option right now. Thanks for the pointer. Archlinux really surprises me everyday, this ABS is a great feature.
