Automount for usb devices is not working with scrotwm but it works fine with gnome.
I have hal on my daemons array. What is missing?

In your ~/.xinitrc file did you try launching scrotwm with "exec ck-launch-session scrotwm" ?
That might work, not sure...
Philosophy is looking for a black cat in a dark room. Metaphysics is looking for a black cat in a dark room that isn't there. Religion is looking for a black cat in a dark room that isn't there and shouting "I found it!". Science is looking for a black cat in a dark room with a flashlight.

Yes, I have that in my .xinitrc but it doesn't work. I get my usb disk in /media/<label>, but I am unable to read them it a normal user.
If I try to read it as root, I find an empty directory.
Thanks.

(bump) Does anyone have a solution for automounting with scrotwm?

Have you created the mounting rules according to the UDEV wiki page?
