Network fails on startup

I've got a bit of a problem with my network on my laptop.

I have a Netgear WPN111 usb wireless adapter, I set up ndiswrapper and after some work I got everything running fine, Until I reboot.

During bootup with the adapter in, it hangs on starting network and eventually says that it fails, Once I log in I tried iwconfig and wlan0 isn't even listed, I modprobed ndiswrapper and all the other commands to get it working that are listed in the wiki, and nothing.

However if I boot without the adapter in, it still shows that the network fails, but If log in then plug the adapter in, it's detected and all I need to do is run dhcpcd wlan0.

I've tried netcfg and other various auto network programs and can't get this thing to work. It's quite annoying because I can't run synergy at startup, since the network is down till after I log in.

Re: Network fails on startup

boot up you system with the adapter plugged in, once you are logged in, check /var/log/dmesg.log  to see whether you usb was recognized or not.
