intermittent failure file transfer

Using the bftpd or the samba server, the server seems to drop on large files, and is intermittent whether it will take a file, but sometimes will repeatedly refuse a file transfer on either samba or the bftpd server.  Doesn't seem to matter whether it is an upload or a download.

I tried another ftp server, pure-ftpd and it stopped one time, but the next time I finally got the file across.  Must be the equipment or something.

Something funny and it happens on every arch I try it on.

The only work-around I could find was to use the mozilla like ftp retry function of the lftp program,
lftp>put  -c %filename% would continue on where the connection or whatever dropped.

It was the wireless...it gets blocked up and drops the connection...so much for this topology needing more improvement.
