Wicd cannot obtain IP Address of any wireless networks.

I currently have two installs of Arch one on my laptop which runs a broadcom BCM4322 Card and my netbook which runs a broadcom BCM4312 I have them both configured with the broadcom-wl and with wicd. Almost without fail everytime I try and to connect to my access point which is named marzehome and it is unencrypted I get to where it says it is obtaining the IP address but then says that it is unable to obtain the address.  Also in most cases after being logged on to either my laptop or netbook I get randomly disconnected when I am actually able to connect and then after the disconnect the only way to try and reconnect is by rebooting and hoping it will be able to connect.

Punch in the dark here. Is your laptop up to date. Another thing to check would be if the dhcpd is running on the router.

Yeah I did a fresh net install on both yesterday and then updated everything. And Dhcpd is running on the router. I think the problem is with me having it encrypted, as I disabled my WEP on my router and it seems to connect with out problem then so I have no idea why encryption doesn't work all the time.
