Re: rrdtool Graphs Built by Monitorix show "boxes" not text

I have solved this problem with the help of a guy in the #monitorix channel on freenode.

I had to install terminus-font and the graphs now look normal.

I have updated this in the wiki page http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Monitorix

@hodge - which package contains that font?  I will add it to the list of deps for the package when I hear back from you.  FYI - did you try the monitor-tmpfs package too?

@graysky - The package was terminus-font smile Adding to the deps would be awesome.

No I did not try monitor-tmpfs. I will try it tonight and let you know how I go - I will update the wiki and this thread accordingly

Re: rrdtool Graphs Built by Monitorix show "boxes" not text

I have monitorix running on an i686 machine without the terminus-font package and the output looks just fine.  I therefore don't believe it is a true dep.

Re: rrdtool Graphs Built by Monitorix show "boxes" not text

The guys from the monitorix channel told me that you need to have a "mono" font installed.

I ran pacman -S terminus-font and re-generated the graphs and they had text.

Perhaps you have another font package which contains a monospaced font which rrdtool used.
