Who ever claimed that? There has been so much activity on their sit forever. They make a blogpost like every other week and keep everyone informed on their progress. It never even looked dead.

Looks like Compiz 0.9 doesn't build correctly with GCC4.5.

I was always told to avoid static class variables. I guess this is a good example why.
