I've a DSL-500B but I can't connect with it in bridge mode. nothing happens. just don't navigates

is your device not capable of connecting in bridge mode? if it is, have you set the correct VPI/VCI values. also, use pppoe -A -I <adsl device> to see if you can get a reply.

On router mode it's working. but, on bridge, with same vcp/vci nothing happens

what is the response of the pppoe command, is it able to detect the PPP server of your ISP, what is the log of pppoe in /var/log/everything.log

well. the response of the command is ok. "conected!" but the modem's data light don't flashes. And firefox waits 'til say "so much time to response'

from your log file, yes, the ppoe connection is working but it is not replacing the default route, try deleting the original default route by using

route del default

and then try connecting to your provider. make sure that pppoe can properly modify your /etc/resolv.conf file so that the DNS server addresses from the ISP can be used.

to pppoeconf be able to modify my resolv.conf, what may I do, or how can I be truth that pppoeconf has this ability? chmod +x resolv.conf?

Okay. I added adsl to rc.conf, I don't know if it's necessary take off "network" from this. I didn't taked it off yet.

I've restarted my system....But, don't navigates again.

I did:

/etc/rc.d/adsl stop
route del default
adsl start.

navigating again.

What more may I do to do this "automatic"

if you are getting your network settings (your local ip) from your router/modem, save the following script, and then run it by adding it to /etc/rc.local

#!/bin/bash

route del default
/etc/rc.d/adsl start

this should automate it, if on the other hand, you are setting your local ip address statically, then you should ! the default gateway in rc.conf.

ok.... but, on my rc.conf, the daemons adsl, and network, should I remove? adsl I think yes, cause rc.local would have it....but network?

okay. it's working with network and without adsl.... adsl only on rc.local.

An now I'm fined. Why? I've passed 55 miles/hour on my connection, eheheheh.
