When I reboot to windows, windows doesn't load, just keeps rebooting. If I clear the CMOS and boot to windows I get gigabit speed on my NIC the first time only. Every reboot from there on out I get either 100MB/s or 10Mb/s, more times than not it's 10.
If I reboot to linux and only linux, the NIC stays at 1000GB/s, but the downside is, I can't boot to windows, all I get is the Microsoft boot menu of "Repair" or start normally. Neither option works, Repair starts to load and returns me to the menu where Start Normally the system just reboots.
Any idea? is the mobo fubar?

You're having a problem with Windows and Windows only and you're asking in a Linux forum what the problem may be?

Thank you for responding, and the problem isn't with windows only.
I've exhausted all resources, and just trying to pick some other technical brains. Sure my system may "occasionally* boot to windows, but that was after a bios update, and the ASUS forums are about as helpful as a crap flavored lollipop. ![]()
I am just trying to get more information to see if anyone else has this board and is experiencing problems.

Marking the the solution as a POS motherboard and going to retire it after 7 months of service.
