Hey guys when i am in the pre-install of Arch i know it is best to install Base, Base-devel, wireless_tools, and sudo. but what other packages do you suggest? I am new to arch

Are you going to compile sth? If yes, pick Base and Base-devel, if no - just Base.
Do you have / use wireless network?
You should install sudo, it's a *very* useful tool.

What kind of machine? Desktop? Who will use it?

More often than not, the base devel is not mandatory but required. What I mean is, once you start using your system, you will find atleast some packages in the official repos that don't work for you or you simply want a different version which you can get either from source or from AUR. In those cases, many base-devel packages are used to build them. So during an Arch install, I just install base and base-devel without thinking about it too much.
Even if you choose not to install it, all is not lost as you can just as easily install the said base devel packages after the fact.
There's no such thing as a stupid question, but there sure are a lot of inquisitive idiots !

Look, it's your system, you pick what you install. You may want to play some games, use TeXLive etc. Read the wiki, install the app you like, if you don't like it, remove it.

none... If you need them, then install them. It is up to you to decide.
