Based on the descriptions libzip or unzip would be the best choice, but unzip only.. uh.. unzips.
What package would you recomend to save me the trouble of trying them all?

Thanks guys! "zip" and "unzip" just seem to go together perfectly based on their names.

Does p7zip have a GUI? Will Gnome File Roller use it's "codec" for lack of a better term? hehe

xarchiver (GUI) uses unzip and p7zip as its backend, so yeah.. I guess there is some gui for it. Not sure about gnome file roller.

Oh, that's cool. Thanks for that info.

Pretty much every GUI archiver automatically uses backends for compression. So adding zip and unzip will automatically add zip support in file roller/xarchiver/etc.
Personally, I'd rather be back in Hobbiton.

Yeah that's what i was thinking too, but i'd assume that some front ends don't recognize some backends.

By using a search engine and three seconds of your time, you could have found this page: http://fileroller.sourceforge.net/features.html

In my opinion
Fileroller > Xarchiver
