Problems with dual boot [SOLVED]

Im having trouble with a dual boot I just created. I have windows installed on sdb and arch on sda, grub and arch load just fine but grub can't load windows. I read the arch wiki page on windows dual booting, but I havn't had any luck.
My windows grub entry:
title Microsoft Windows 7 64
rootnoverify (hd1,0)
savedefault
makeactive
map (hd0) (hd1)
map (hd1) (hd0)
chainloader +1

Ive tried both root and rootnoverify, niether work.

Re: Problems with dual boot [SOLVED]

Try commenting the two map lines and then try again. In short try this:

title Microsoft Windows 7 64
rootnoverify (hd1,0)
savedefault
makeactive
chainloader +1

Re: Problems with dual boot [SOLVED]

Hello everyone,
I've got the same problem
I've two hard disks and I have installed Windows 7 and then archLinux on the first.

At the end of the installation, Grub is installed but can't load Windows
(rootnoverify (hd1,0)).

Is there anyway to install the last version of grub (grub 2.0) with a live CD and solve the problem ?

Thanks.

Please start a new thread.

As an answer to your question, please have a look at the wiki:

Grub 2.0 is still pretty new, and pretty much the only distros using them are ubuntu and ubuntu derived distros.
