Re: Xyne banned?

lol.

now to be more seriously, i think Xyne is a good member and shouldn't be banned for a long period. And banning people just because they are having constructive discussion is a nonsense

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Oh man, a whole week w/o ArchForums! ;P

I think simply closing the topic would have been enough.

The newly acquired power of being able to ban someone maybe?

Getting trigger happy?

But in his defense, if what Xyne said, was said by a regular member, I am sure some mod would have banned that user for disrespect against Devs/Forum Mods, no?

Different mods react in different ways. Some talk to people, some ban them right away.
I don't think this has much to do with how long have you been a mod.

Re: Xyne banned?

I thought it was good discussion.  It was getting lively to be sure so maybe a 'calm down gents' would have been appropriate, but there wasn't anything worth a ban.

Nothing to do with litemotiv, thank you. I assume it was meant as a joke.

The 'plan' was to give both antagonists a ban, but the BBS won't allow Allan to be banned (yet). Do not despair though, we're working on that.

We're not discussing bans, btw. That is why this topic is now closed wink.
