anyone have this issue? I've never in over a year of using Arch had this errror before.. since nothing was upgraded as the message says, nothing is "broken" by the upgrade..
any ideas on what I have to do so this upgrade actually works? Since I am clueless on this type of problem..
thanks

(((( Dont know how I accidently posted this twice))))

how do you "DELETE" a post? or is that a mods' duty/action?

Re: Kernel Upgrade issue, NEVER seen this before..

I'm having this problem too, not going to delete anything, since I recently deleted half my pc because of a stupid mistake, and I don't want to go through the whole troubleshooting phase again so soon tongue Hurray for Arch though, that I got it back up and running so quickly. I'll just subscribe to this thread until there's a solution >.<

Re: Kernel Upgrade issue, NEVER seen this before..

Well there is a solution and its documented in the arch dev list as well as a couple of threads in the forum.

Although using the -f switch is not recommended, in this case it is the only solution and perfectly fine to use it.

sudo pacman -Syuf

And here are the threads that I mentioned:
