multiple eth1 entries in /etc/conf.d/wireless

Hiya.

I use WiFi often, and in many different spots. For instance, I have my network at home, with a unique essid and WEP key, my work network, again with it's own essid and key, as well as my network at school.

I wanted to know if there is a way i could set up /etc/conf.d/wireless (or any other file) to automatically detect what network I'm on, set up `iwconfig` accordingly, and grap an IP for me? You know, the way <shudder> Windows </shudder> does it.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Re: multiple eth1 entries in /etc/conf.d/wireless

hey, thanks.

Wifi-Radar works for me, but it was a royal pain the ass to set up. I had to edit a few configuration files, and even /usr/sbin/wifi-radar itself.

Just tinker with it, and you'll get it working.

Do you know if there is any way to get rid of the output before it actually connects to the network, or possibly having it run in quiet mode with a single echo at the end to confirm if it worked or not?

Thanks.

Sorry, I have no idea about it. I have never used the program.
