Howdy,
I just wanna say thanks to the devs for making a great distro. I keep going from Arch + KDE to Mint KDE version (very nice in its own respect). I keep finding myself back at Arch. There is nothing wrong with Mint KDE it just works too well. I dont get to tinker at all. Plus there is a certain level of pride knowing I built up my arch machine from scratch.
I have a desktop that I use to test on, a netbook for running around and a laptop thats my primary machine. Anywho back to the point. I have been wanting a backpack for my work laptop. I work downtown and take the bus in so the bag thats issued with my laptop is just not cutting it anymore. I have been putting up with it for 4 years and I just need more space. Laptop, power supply, phone, umbrella (rains a lot here), lunch, drinks, smokes, a book to read on the bus, plus various other geek items, geek sticks, cds etc...
It flat out dont fit. I ordered this

I got the eco rather than the black. Thought it would look nicer.
They said bout 6 weeks for delivery and thats a bummer but I will post pics when it comes in.
I also kinda want that " Its free. Don't B1tch" t-shirt.

Anyone else happen to have this bag? Any other Arch schwag?

Bag came in yesterday. It sure is nice. Took some high quality pics so anyone thinking bout getting one will know what it looks like and what quality to expect.

Thats not the way the light hit it...it actually has 2 color tones in the text and the A icon. Its looks very very nice.
Thanks Dusty...I am really happy with it!
EDIT: Got the shirt too...sorry no pics but everyone that has seen it so far wants one! I told em ya gotta use linux to wear a linux t-shirt.

I wouldn't mind a bag but international shipping is way too expensive.

You could probably ask Dusty if there are other less expensive shipping alternatives.

I assumed that if there was it would have already been the chosen option.

lets face it, sending about 2 lbs from Canada to Australia is gonna cost ya !
I wonder if you can simply take an image of archlinux logo and have a local tailor shop have it embroidered/embossed/printed on a bag of your choice. That would probably be a cheaper option. Lots of places like that in India. Not sure about Australia ![]()
Printing might be the cheapest option. I see a lot of stalls in the malls here where they print photos of anyone on T-shirts and such. Costs about 15-20 bucks + cost of bag that you choose.
There's no such thing as a stupid question, but there sure are a lot of inquisitive idiots !

Sure, it may still cost some. My idea would be that if Dusty could look into cheaper shipping services (e.g. Air Mail), he can add that as an option. Instead of having sand_man pay $35, he could pay $20 or less for the shipping and expect it to arrive in 7-14 business days, instead of 7 or less.

The bags are created and shipped by my supplier in the US, so USPS prices apply. I think she usually ships them Priority Mail. I can look into shipping International First Class mail, which is cheaper, but untracked.

I'm sure many of us would appreciate that ![]()

Dusty, I think it would also be a good idea to have International First Class Mail as an option for all of your items. The Priority Mail shipping could be preventing potential buyers for your Schwag sales.
