Hello,
I've been trying to get the wireless set up on my laptop with Broadcom BCM4306rev2
$ lspci | grep Network
00:09.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4306 802.11b/g Wireless LAN Controller (rev 02)
I've followed the wiki and installed b43legacy module. I am able to connect with good signal, but the connection is very slow. Just to put a number to it, Here is the ping statistics:
--- www.l.google.com ping statistics ---
4 packets transmitted, 4 received, 0% packet loss, time 30100ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 18.267/31.331/53.123/13.835 ms
I've tried wired connection, and it works perfectly. I'm not sure what to do from here. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

ndiswrapper does not work. I tried to set up using the windows driver. Ndiswrapper -l shows the driver is installed and device is present, but when I do iwconfig, wlan0 does not appear anywhere.

Stupid me. I neglected to reboot with ndiswrapper in MODULES=() in /etc/rc.conf. I had been rebooting without, and trying to manually load ndiswrapper, but obviously I was missing some steps in between.
Ndiswrapper works.
Marking this as solved.
