building arch packages in other distros?

not sure if this is the right board to post this question:

i have ssh access to a powerful server running opensuse at university,
so for me the question arose if there is a simple way to build aur/abs packages in other distros.

is it generally possible or are there compiler inconsistencies (or whatever you could think of)?

do any scripts exist that are capable of this?

There is the "devtools" which will allow you to create a build chroot.  That requires root permissions...

I think Xyne was working on some other chroot solution too.
