Super malicious website? 100% CPU and HardDisk usage via javascript
The other day my lil sis opened up http://sacdac.org/Issues.aspx and it completely froze the computer. the CPU usage was 100% and so was the HardDisk usage (I/O)
Take a look at what iotop shows. (i had to take the screenshots with my cell phone because the computer went unresponsive):
This is really bad. It wierd that compiz, gnome-settings-manager, xorg, gnome-power-manager, and system-tools-backends are all being affected by this.
Do you think it's just a bug in their javascript, or are they accessing settings on my computer?

It's a terrible example of web design, slow and buggy as can be, but no it didn't crash my pc

It's very slow :-D It didn't crash my pc (dual core) or my laptop (ibm thinkpad t43) too.
Edit: I used Mozilla Firefox and Konqueror

Just crappy web design, nothing malicious - if anything, it indicates some deficiency in your system, if it caused it to freeze.

Yes, it is a poorly designed site. No, there is no evidence of it being malicious.
trustkr, if it was a site that featured mailicious code, do you really think that you are doing the community a service by posting a link to it with an inflammatory post title? And then bumping the post a minute later?
