How to probe my Grundig FreesatHD box.

Hi all,

I have a Grundig FreesatHD unit and it occurred to me that it must be running some kind of OS.

My first thought is to port scan it to see what is there.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what I could do?

PS. I hope this is on topic as the tools and system I will be using to do this is my trusty Arch desktop.
PPS. The Grundig can run BBC iPlayer and is wired to my (over-burdened) router.
