I installed Arch using a x86_64 iso from http://chakra-project.org/ and I tried searching for several programs I wanted in shaman and didn't find them. I tried configuring the sudoers file by using "visudo" in Konsole (the KDE Terminal) but it said "visudo: specified efitior (vim) doesn't exist!" so I tried installing it with "pacman -S vim" and it said "error: 'vim' :not found in sync db" What should I do?

you are better off posting on the chakra mailing list or forums. Arch does not handle the Chakra repos.
There's no such thing as a stupid question, but there sure are a lot of inquisitive idiots !

Chakra issues shold usually be directed to the chakra forums, but in this case I think the following should fix your problem:
pacman -Syy
or better yet:
pacman -Syyu
Please read relevant (beginners) documentation if you are unsure as to what the above commands do.

I updated pacman and still had the same problem. Ill go to the chakra forums now.
