hi, i don't have libktorrent-svn and ktorrent-svn packages in kde-snapshots-extra repos, only in AUR. I need wait to sync with server? the server was changed? or simply i can build from AUR .. thanks
EDIT: only wait and now is ok... downloading....

Sorry, I forgot to upload it to i686 repo. Fixed now.

@ProgDan, will next update be built with Qt4.7?

I think that Qt 4.7 will hit [testing] even before next snapshot, so I'll probably provide rebuild of this snapshot.

And here it comes. I tried running the old build with Qt 4.7.0 but I got some unusual crashes so I rebuilt entire repo against Qt 4.7.0 from [testing]. x86_64 is in the repo, i686 will follow later.
EDIT: i686 is ready too.

hi, I use i686 but i have a redondancy dependency conflict between kwebkitpart kwebkitpart-svn. I tested the upgrade without success with each of package and each time is the same:
kwebkitpart and kwebkitpart-svn are in conflict. Remove kwebkitpart-svn? [y/N] n
error: unresolvable package conflicts detected
error: failed to prepare transaction (conflicting dependencies)
:: kwebkitpart and kwebkitpart-svn are in conflict
or something like that if I decide to remove kwebkitpart-svn..
how can I around this problem? or is an error from package builded with that two dependencies?
4.5.69 snapshot run smoothly.. and really happy with kontact and korganizer.. thanks

Weird....try uninstalling both via pacman -Rd and then just run upgrade and pacman should automatically pick up kwebkitpart-svn.

oops.. sorry, was my fault.. when I tried with yaourt -Suy (the first times was with pacman) I can see better the message in colors (is stupid but the reality) and now I can understand my problem:
==> Software upgrade (new version) :
extra/konq-plugins 4.4.0-1 -> svn1179246-1
==> New package :
extra/kwebkitpart 0.9.6-1 (required by konq-plugins)
the kwebkitpart was asked by konq-plugins.. only that .. (so not dependency problem of kde-snapshot repo) ...
I will test my kde with new Qt 4.7 ...

Uppps, looks like I missed 4.5.70 so let's jump from 4.5.69 directly to 4.5.71.

Would you consider including dikigam ? Or for us bleeding edge maniacs digikam2 (with all the SOC goodness). Extra's digikam package depends on an "old" libkipi.so.7 and I can't seem to be able to use the one in aur. If it's too out-of-scope with the kde-snapshot notion please disregard this request.
BTW thanks for all the hard work. Loving this repo.

Well it has K in it's name, so it's not totally offtopic for this repo , but I gave it a try now and it took a considerable amount of time to build so for now, I'm afraid I have to refuse...don't take me wrong, if I could I'd build everything with svn or git in it's name but I desperately lack resources for that It already takes up to 14 hours to build KDE for both archs and for this time it makes my laptop good just for listening to music and surfing web...I hope I'll earn some money and I'll can buy something better on Christmas sale-outs, so just try to ask after Christmas again

A new week (already?!!) a new snapshot: KDE 4.5.72svn1185171

Hi.
Is it still depend on hal? I loved the idea of KDE4 "Activities" actually I switched from gnome (2.32) to kde4 only because this. Now I use KDE4 from [extra] but I've irritated what it couldn't use udev to mount USB flash/HDD, or Sleep/Suspend mode as GNOME does. I don't want to run hal daemon again.
In SVN logs I saw that powerdevil seems could use upower to gover the power management.
Does anyone who use kde-snapshot run hal?

I use HAL and I hate it but there is something very interesting going on here: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=229643 (especially the comment #19). I didn't check it now but it seems cool to me. I'll give it a try it later today.
EDIT: the file is not available in current snapshot (upower is probably not built) but it's ready in the new snapshot that I'm uploading atm....just i686 users have to wait some more time...

Hi folks,
so KDE 4.5.73svn1187444 is here
The main highlight: you can now run KDE without HAL with powerdevil still working. Although it still causes some problems, I'm testing it right now and detecting AC (un)plugging works and adjusting backlight works too. I think it crashes KDED at the start, but it restarts automatically and then it runs OK.
In System Settings -> Information Sources there is now UPower, only HAL, but HAL is definetelly not running on my PC.
I think of setting UPower as default powerdevil's backend in next snapshot instead of HAL. HAL works, we all knows that but developers need to test the UPower backend more and here we could be useful.
And we'd be the very first to have hal-free KDE in repos

Hi.
I've recently installed kde from this repository and wanted to launch digikam, but following error occurs: "digikam: error while loading shared libraries: libkipi.so.7: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"
As I understand libkipi should be part of the kdegraphics-set?
Regards.
Offline
Actually digikam is not part of the kdegraphics set. It's developed independently (in extragear). You have to compile digikam yourself against the libkipi from kdegraphics-libs.
It was discussed here, I clarified it about a week ago, see comment #717 please.

Oh. I thought its only about digikam2 and no the stable one ...
