Is the recent flashplayer now 64-bit as previously it was discontinued?
Anyway dmesg reports:
localhost kernel: npviewer.bin[pid]: segfault at 418 ip 00000000f610edd6 sp 00000000ffe43b18 error 6 in libflashplayer.so[f5f1d000+b2c000]
localhost kernel: npviewer.bin[pid]: segfault at 0 ip 00000000f616bbd6 sp 00000000ffa5ff40 error 4 in libflashplayer.so[f5f74000+b2c000]
then after this happens a couple times the computer becomes unresponsive but can almost kill X window session and everything's ok again.
I may have to CONSOLE you about your usage of ridiculously easy graphical interfaces...

What version of flashplugin are you referring to?

The one I have installed right now is flashplugin 10.1.85.3-1 x86_64.
Whereas the drop was supposedly at 10.0.45.2, so I guess it was recontinued.

The good Arch user is always updated so read the news page! =] Its posted on the main page that now Arch have a multilib repo with a 32 bits flashplugin running using nsplugginwrapper.
But, yes flashplayer 64 is re continued (native) now, its is know a Square and is available in AUR as flashplayer-prerelease or something like this (is 10.2 something)

First off, make sure you are using the correct version of flashplayer. Then try again.
There's no such thing as a stupid question, but there sure are a lot of inquisitive idiots !

It looks like I've got both 32-bit & 64-bit flashplugin and they are the same version--the most recent (32bit chroot arch under 64bit arch). So the real flashplugin is under the AUR?
I "wine" about all the lib32*, so I have the multilib. I also have the firefox32, just for the once missing flashplugin/firefox64.

The newest (preview-release) and only flashplugin for 64-bit since 10.1 is in aur as flashplugin-prerelease, it is not in the repos yet.
The one in multilib is the newest version as well, but 32-bit through nspluginwrapper.
If you want to use flashplugin-prerelease, make sure to remove all other versions of flashplugin first.
