Hello everyone, I just want to be thankful with everybody who can help me .
I've got this problem.
I've downloaded a trial version of Bricscad from http://www.bricsys.com/en_INTL/index.jsp. I downloaded the tgz version and I've been trying to install for 3 days but I can't do it.
I use GNU/Linux in my job and I used to use Mandriva but I had a problem and I wanted to try KhaelOS because I use Archlinux in my personal laptop but in my job I don't have enough time to play with Arch so I decided to install an easier distribution based on Archlinux . So I'm going to show what I've done:
1. I downloaded the tgz from the webpage.
2. I ran the script
sh bricscad.sh
and I received this error message:
./bricscad: error while loading shared libraries: libjpeg.so.62 : cannot open shared object file: No such file or director
3. I made a symbolic link and I got a similar message but with libpng instead of libjpeg:
./bricscad: error while loading shared libraries: libpng12.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
4. I made another symbolic link with libpng12:
sudo ln -s libpng.so libpng12.so.0
5. I received another error and I don't know what I can do to solve this problem .
./bricscad: /usr/lib/libpng12.so.0: version `PNG12_0' not found (required by /home/chucho/Programas/GNU⁄Linux/Bricscad/libwx_gtk2u_core-2.8.so.0)
Has anyone installed Bricscad on Archlinux?. I used KhaelOS where I work but I can say that KhaelOS and Archlinux is basically the same , I need to know how to install this software in my laptop as well because it can be an alternative to Autocad (In my case of course). I don't really know what to do to solve this problem. I'll be very thankful if someone help me . I read this post http://www.bricsys.co.il/common/support … p?id=13736 and this one https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=104552 but they were talking about Architecture of 64 bits and I use 32 bits.
Best regards
Archlinux Colombia!!!

For a program that was updated one week ago, they sure are using old versions of libjpeg and libpng. Anyway you can find these older versions in the AUR.
Mandatory dig at KahaelOS http://omploader.org/vNDlxeA.

Jrballesteros05, we don't offer support for KahelOS here, you will have to ask this on their forum.
Closing.
