Mind you I've shamefully copied from other people's configs, but I like my setup the way it is now:

Both are charming in very different ways. Yes, I like the old-fashioned look. wink Well, still looking for a nice set of "retro" icons – instead of smooth SVG icons.

For the awesome setup, are those gaps, or are they floating and manually set apart?

Gaps. I use custom layout functions instead of the stock ones, so I could easily add support for that. smile

Nothing much. It's kde so it's not that great -.-'.
I should change to a more simple thing like openbox or xfce, because it's so tiring to be always fighting kde... but right now i can loose my time looking for stuff and installing another DE...

What's the reason to have 'gaps'? That'll effectively lessen your screen real estate..?

Sure, no problem.

I use ACYL, but the icons at the top are here.
rc.lua and theme.lua.

It's easier (for me) to distinguish between windows and easier to see which window has focus. Without gaps, I felt like sitting in front of one big window. smile Quite often I was typing in the wrong window because it wasn't obvious that another window had focus...

@hurleyef: Thanks! smile

It's the crystal window decoration and the polyester style.

Thanks

Just created a repo for it:
