I've recently switched from GNOME to KDE and it's been really great. I've played around with all the settings but there's on thing that still nags me. Every now and then I encounter an application or some aspect of an application that looks... ugly. Ugly as in, black text on grey background (like MS 95). Examples of this include Eclipse, and right-clicking a page in chromium.
Here's an example with Eclipse:

It's not a deal-breaker but It would be nice if someone knew why this happens and how I can fix it.
Cheers!

Applications that use GTK, like Eclipse and Chromium, will use the default GTK theme if none is selected; switching from GNOME to KDE (and thus from primarily GTK to primarily Qt) probably removed your previously selected GTK theme.
You should install gtk-qt-engine from the extra repo to make your GTK programs match your Qt programs

Oooh. That makes perfect sense, and simultaneously clarifies what GTK does (I'm a noob). Thanks! Super-helpful
