SSH packet errors

Hai!
I am connecting from a box with arch to a server running arch with lts kernel. Both are on my LAN. The problem is that I frequently get errors while connecting to the server or a few seconds after login, eg:

Received disconnect from 10.5.5.99: 2: Packet corrupt

Bad packet length 2881637692.
Disconnecting: Packet corrupt

or

Corrupted MAC on input.
Disconnecting: Packet corrupt

Sometimes I keep getting errors for hours, but it also happens to work flawlessly for hours. Also, I don't think it's a hardware error because I don't get any errors if I use PuTTy from extra.
Does anyone have any insight on how to troubleshoot this issue?
