Hm, I just upgraded to 3.6.3-1 and ran firebrand, worked fine. What version of the script do you use? What does
unzip -l /usr/lib/firefox-3.6/chrome/en-US.jar | grep brand
say?

I've tried the original and the one on github
fukawi2@phil-desktop /home/fukawi2 $ unzip -l /usr/lib/firefox-3.6/chrome/en-US.jar | grep brand
fukawi2@phil-desktop /home/fukawi2 $

That's odd...? I get
# unzip -l /usr/lib/firefox-3.6/chrome/en-US.jar | grep brand
368 2010-04-02 19:14 locale/branding/brand.dtd
75 2010-04-02 19:14 locale/branding/brand.properties
before editing, and
# unzip -l /usr/lib/firefox-3.6/chrome/en-US.jar | grep brand
366 2010-04-09 13:58 locale/branding/brand.dtd
73 2010-04-09 13:58 locale/branding/brand.properties
after. Why don't you have any brand files? *scratches head*

Firefox (Namoroka) definitely works fine... I'm writing this from it. I'll try wiping it and reinstalling.

Hi all. New Arch user here. Just ran this script and it worked, but only for the root user. My everyday user is still using generic icons. Any suggestions?
try running the script without sudo

I use gamin on my system, as opposed to FAM. I've noticed that when I update firefox, the icons change instantly to the unbranded versions, but when I run firebrand, I have to log out and in to see the changes. Is there something that can be done to avoid the logout? Can the script be modified to update a timestamp, or even remove the unbranded icons before adding the branded ones?

Just worked flawlessly on 3.6.10 via pkgbuild in the aur :-)
5mins after a clean install of namoroka.
If it don't work you, maybe try reinstalling/purging configs for namoroka then running firebrand?
Thanks Lucky.

The last two times Firefox was updated, the script had trouble downloading the icons n stuff. I remember vaguely, that someone mentioned a method to store the icons n stuff offline on my harddisk, so I dont have to download them again and again, but for the life of me, I simply can't find that info again. You guys can help me, right?

At the beginning of the script is a variable called NEWICONSDIR. If you set it to an existing suitable directory it will cache the icons there.

Ah, right, thank you. I searched the forum, but not the source...
