Wicd-client hangs

I had no problems before, but after one update when I click to connect in any network the window becomes grey and nothing happens.
I have to kill it and also kill python because it keeps using 100% of the processor after that.
I tried with other user and even cleared the /etc/wicd/

It works perfectly with wicd-curses though.

I ran wicd-client on terminal, the output is:
/usr/share/wicd/gtk/gui.py:760: DeprecationWarning: use gtk.Statusbar.remove_message
  gtk.main_iteration()

and then hangs.

Re: Wicd-client hangs

Exact same thing happened to me a couple of days ago when I was on a trip. I haven't had any problems with wicd... I left my normal wireless home network for once, and tried to connect to a wifi spot, and it ended in utter failure. Since I was in a rush and was on battery, I just rebooted from my backtrack 4 usb. Then when I booted arch again the next day to connect to another wifi spot, wicd loaded without any problem....  Don't know why this would happen...

Re: Wicd-client hangs

I know this topic is quite old, but I do have the same problem. I was wondering if you were able to find the source of this issue?
