I run Openbox, that's conky and a xterm. But my netbook is mainly a Emacs-terminal, I do almost everything in Emacs nowadays. So I usually run all my applications in fullscreen (Emacs and Chromium) and my xterms are always without borders and bound to Alt-F1 so I can start them without any effort. I open bashrun, emacsclient, pcmanfm (barely use it, Dired in Emacs rocks!) and sometimes also lxtask in the same way (Alt-F3 etc). I read my PDFs with Evince.

It's not usual for me to have a theme that mostly fits together... I'm eager to tweak individual details even when I have no ideas to go with them.

Going for an out of the way, yet still shows useful information, kinda thing with this.

Running two different xmobars at the top and bottom.
Openbox with the normal Artwiz-boxed theme (fell in love with it years ago on bblean, can't seem to stray away from it), but no window decorations.
Left click on the desktop / menu button + no modifiers brings up window list menu.
Right click on desktop / ctrl+menu yields the main launcher menu
Middle click on desktop / shift+menu shows another openbox menu dedicated to pipe-menus.

The "dirty" shots consist of fullscreen urxvt+tmux or opera, or whatever I'm working on at the time (sometimes Theme Hospital).

Also, why didn't any of you tell me about xmobar sooner?  It's really nice.

The V: in the bottom right says Vol: now, for volume.  Too lazy to update the screenshot.

It doesn't get much cleaner than this in my system.. not gonna post layouts etc. again, they're on the first page of this forum anyway. I kinda like this new look, blue'ish.

I rewrote the dzen scripts real quick, so others can use them (too much hardcoded before), and added some new icons - aswell as a new wall, and tab colors. I promise to get the configs up soon, I just have to write up a little guide on the xmonad stuff. Requires dzen xft, xmonad-darcs/contrib-darcs, haskell-xft, sm4tik icons etc. etc.

Thanks for hooolding, those I promised :-)

A simple colour change to something easier on the eyes.

OB is a modded naos, until I can force myself to start theming.
GTK is Fundamental Round 2 (Blue), with slightly different colours.
Font is the excellent Aller Sans.
