vmware workstation blackscreen windows guest on full sized window

Hello,

At first:
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=108507
does not solve the problem and I'm not sure whether the problem is the same or not.

I've installed arch (kde) with latest kernel(2.6.36) and the proprietary nvidia driver (64bit). Also
vmware-workstation(7.1.3) is installed and patched http://communities.vmware.com/thread/293247.
By the way, the patch works fine, but you have to recover the original state of /var/lib/vmware/modules/source before
you try to apply the patch.

My monitor has a resolution of 1920x1200 and xorg.conf is located at /etc/xorg.conf.d/10.nvidia.conf as recommended and
comprised only standard entries.

Starting the guest (win 7) works flawlessly, except I try to resize the window to full size (not full screen). Then the guest
window becomes black and no action within the guest is possible. The same is true for full screen and quick switch mode.
Resizing the fully sized (black) window manually to, let say 1892x1135 or even smaller, the guest window reappear (automatic resizing ==on) and all is working perfectly.

It doesn't matter whether the kde desktop effects are enabled or not.

As far as I can remember the issue appear since the upgrade of xorg to 1.9, but I'm not sure, since I use the win guest only for some projects, irregulary.
Any suggestions?

Frank
