Why would you want to remove openssl?
Why do i need openssl?
I want to make this arch more smaller removing packages.

See that list of packages requiring openssl that pacman outputted? Removing openssl breaks ever single one of these. Note that the list includes libfetch and libarchive which are required by pacman.
But if you still think this is a good idea.... look at the pacman man package under the -R option and read about -d. Just do not ask for help fixing what you do!

pacman -Rd openssl

Remove the kernel, it could be much smaller.

In the light of https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=109266 (and https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=99429 , as Dogmeat pointed out), can we please move this thread to 'Try This' subforum? ;P

I am seriously doubting between leaving it in the Newbie corner or TGN'ing it... Either would do fine.
Alas.

Could a person disable OpenSSL with systemd if they wanted to protect against hacks? There's a vulnerability going around for OpenSSL right now.
