Well, I have something interesting.......
In every KDE app when I go to Help menu and click About <program's name here>, Kwallet pops up asking my password. Strange. If I give my password, it won't ask for it again until I close that app. This also happens to other apps at the same time

That doesn't happen for me. Tried with dolphin, gwenview and konsole.
Strange.

@adee
Uhm...happen here too. I started with a clean $HOME.

I've got an error running KMail. When I start it, it gives this error :
kmail: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libmailcommon.so.4: undefined symbol: _ZTIN11MessageCore17MDNStateAttributeE
I use Archlinux 64bits.

Edit: Sorry, please ignore

Update your packages and install libpulse.

if he needs to install manually libpulse, then is a bug
Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

thank your a lot for the support

It's a dependency of pulseaudio, so no, I don't think it's a bug. He might just have missed it (or maybe he didn't enable testing).

It's already in extra, isn't it?

something I noticed:
when connecting some device, e.g. a USB pen drive, dolphin will show it twice…
Might be because I have also load HAL at startup…
also, opening the Save dialog in rekonq/konqueror seems to take quite some time (almost 3 secs)…

guys, don't listen wonder. He says lies to convince you that Gnome is good, and KDE is bad!
$ pacman -Qi libpulse
Required by phonon
$ pacman -Qi phonon
Required by kdelibs
Maybe that guy didn't enabled [testing] which is a requirement of [kde-unstable]
BTW, I switched back to xine-lib (with pulse support) + phonon-xine + PA in this way I avoided ~50MB of extra packages and libgnome stuff!

Yes, but I suspect it wasn't when he installed KDE.
(It only hit extra a couple of days ago, IIRC).

of course i had [testing] enabled in the moment of the upgrade , but the file (mentionned above) was "missing" even if the command locate found it :-/
now i'm very happy with this software compilation , very stable (even in beta1 version).
i noticed a sensitive gain in responsivness and kde-pim is great!

In KDE 4.5 I used to sort my photos with Digikam (kipi-plugnins not installed). I have version 1.6.0-2
In this beta, it failed to load with the following message:
digikam: error while loading shared libraries: libkipi.so.7: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I tried to install kipi-plugins but that doesn't change anything nor a reinstall of digikam. Am I alone ?

@xheyther
You have to rebuild them. (/usr/lib/libkipi.so.8 is owned by kdegraphics-libs 4.5.80-1)

Hi I installed kde 4.6 succefully but of course I had to do a wrong thing... When I launched kmail2 it imported all my settings from kmail, it was just perfect and me as an idiot I delete some account from config of kmail2 and now I don't have any account who works. So my question is: how to "reset" kmail2 to put the kmail folder I save before the update (haaa this was a good idea) and do again the akonadi synchronisation as the first launch of kmail2?
Thanks

@splashy
$ rm -rf ~/.kde4/share/{apps,config}/kmail2* ~/.config/akonadi ~/.local/share/{akonadi,local-mail,.local-mail.directory}
should work...at your own risk

hum hum I'm a bit suicidar so I will try this thanks. ^^

Ha it's not so efficient...
It did nothing... akonadi is stronger than what you thought, I configure three accounts and it's great but their still a fuck***g bug, When I associate to different folders different identity to use for create new message it's still use my default account! How can I fix this?
PS: I find that we can save akonadi... Oh great now I know...

solid now uses udisks, so if you have udisks installed and hal is running at the same moment, every device will be shown twice. onec for hal and once for udisks
btw, yes, solid with udisks is slow, so (imho) best way right now is to remove udisks and use hal

I'll keep KDE hal-less until 4.6.0, then we will take a decision about this.
