Hi,
The title pretty much says it all. Ever since the upgrade to the kernel 2.6.36 the two cores of my CPU (and Intel i7) have different temperatures. It's almost like the first one does all the work while the other one is inactive:
[chs@Labarum ~]$ acpi -t
Thermal 0: ok, 52.0 degrees C
Thermal 1: ok, 26.8 degrees C
Any thoughts? Is this bad?

Which modules did you load? I guess my processor isn't supported via acpi:
$ acpi -V

What does sensors show?

With acpi -t what you are seeing is your CPU (0) and Case (1) temperature. Use "sensors" instead

This can make CPU stay hot https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=109371. kworker has many wakeups since last kernel update.

Thanks for the info. (See output below). I am going to "clean" the laptop a bit, but kworker does not seem to make the CPU run more though, only the temperature is affected. So I guess I'll wait for the next kernel upgrade...
