[SOLVED] Openbox without Gnome and dependencies

Hi, i have Openbox and Gnome, but Openbox likes me more than Gnome. Now i want on my netbook only openbox, i mean uninstall gnome,gnome-extra with dependencies, but i'm not sure what happen if i uninstall it(them). Anybody help ?? Thanks

if the netbook is a different machine, then simply don't install the gnome packages. If you are talking about the same machine, then try to uninstall gnome. It should remove all gnome dependencies for you.

However keep in mind that you might be using other software that requires those dependencies and if you blindly remove something, things may or may not work after.

Don't forget to change your .xinitrc to run openbox-session after you remove Gnome!

Ok, now i'm without gnome, but i need some good file manager which replace nautilus ... some tips ??

Thanks a lot, i tryed thunar, qtfm and pcmanfm. I like pcmanfm
