Re: lm_sensors maybe??

As i have state MANY MANY times please do not upload upgrade versions of packages existing in the trees. If a package is out of date or has a bug please file a bug report or contact the maintainer of the package. if there is no maintainer stated then please just file a bug report.

there are already enough packages in incoming to deal with, packages in incoming that already exist in the repos only serves to slow the work of the people that work on the packages in incoming.

The bug tracker is on a link from the archlinux.org website.  Or you can just click here.

This is why ppl assume you are upset:

As i have state MANY MANY times...

There are ways and ways of saying something... I really didnt took your comment bad, but i must say it wasnt to kind either.
There are lots of ppl out there that will ask and do the same errors, you should take it a bit easier on them (me wink) or maybe express your self in some way it doesnt make ppl think you got upset.

About the package, i didnt contacted the manteiner because i thought this was the medium to do such requests... as you see in my original post, i asked if the package could be updated as it needs kernel 2.4.21 and Arch has 2.4.22 in repos. So, i cant use it anymore.... anyway, if thats the way to ask for updates, i will do it that way next time.

And Arielext thank you very much for the pkgs.

Re: lm_sensors maybe??

Crap.
Im getting this error:

[root@archcrow crow]# pacman -U i2c.tar.bz2
loading package data... load_pkg: missing package info file in i2c.tar.bz2

the same with lm_sensors:

[root@archcrow crow]#pacman -U lmsensors/lm_sensors.tar.bz2
loading package data... load_pkg: missing package info file in lmsensors/lm_sensors.tar.bz2

Also tryed with -A instead, same error...

Re: lm_sensors maybe??

unpack them first, they contain the makepkg and the package itself

Re: lm_sensors maybe??

OK,
had this issues:

[root@archcrow i2c]# pacman -U i2c-2.7.0-4.pkg.tar.gz
loading package data... done.
checking for file conflicts... done.
installing i2c... done.
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.22/kernel/drivers/atm/he.o
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.22/kernel/drivers/i2c/scx200_i2c.o
[root@archcrow lm_sensors]# pacman -U lm_sensors-2.7.0-4.pkg.tar.gz
loading package data... done.
checking for file conflicts... done.
installing lm_sensors... done.
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.22/kernel/drivers/atm/he.o
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.22/kernel/drivers/i2c/scx200_i2c.o

Is there any problem or they are just warnings?

Re: lm_sensors maybe??

If you don't use either one of them you can ignore the errors
