airmon-ng start wlan0: kernel panic

I've been getting consistent kernel panics when putting any of my wireless cards into monitor mode with airmon-ng (a part of aircrack-ng).  I'm getting release 3 of the 2.6.36 kernel atm and will boot into it and try it with the latest aircrack-ng.  If this happens, I'll report the version numbers and stuff.  For now, is this happening with any of you guys?

Please refer to the links above, they contain links to the relevant kernel Bugzilla bug reports and a possible solution.
