By reading our wiki https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/OpenVPN and a couple of other tutorials
I was able to establish a VPN connection between my home desktop and my VPS.
For a begin, it is looking good.
Since normally I use netcfg I am interested on the AUR package "netcfg-openvpn" but by the best of me I can't
figure out how it works.
Searched the forum and Wiki, to no avail.
Can someone direct me to more information about this Netcfg module ?
Thanks.

If I read the PKGBUILD correctly (and the file openvpn.example inside the AUR-package confirms that), than you should have an example config file in your /etc/network.d/examples.
Change that to your setup, connect to your network and then issue a 'netcfg <openvpn profilename>'
I have no experience with this package, but this would make perfect sense to me. No?

Zenlord,
reading the PKGBUILD file was one of the things I did, but it doesn't help me.
It contains:
CONNECTION="openvpn"
INTERFACE="ignore"
OVPN_CONFIG="/etc/openvpn/example/openvpn.conf"
OVPN_PID_FILE="/tmp/openvpn.example.pid"
OVPN_FLAGS=""
and openvpn.conf doesn't exist.

Did you have any luck with this? I have the same problem.

No, sorry.

You need to read the openvpn file i.e. the one that is installed in /usr/lib/network/connections/ - that has all the details you need.

Thanks, Tomk,
i found it.
But I am quite busy this week, I will try next week.
