Change your mirror and then try

If you don't know how to change mirrors. go to the wiki and search for pacman. Read through the page and you will see. Here at Arch we expect users to do their own research before posting in the forums. It will help you understand your own system much better than someone else telling you everything and you blindly following it.

Thanks for the advice.
I had previously read a lot about kernel and beginners documentation for Arch Linux. But when I got stuck with the graphics card problem and came here for help, I got carried away with do this and do that. Now I'm back to reading the wiki and will get back to this thread in a while wink

Believe me, it will help you in the future. smile

@lucak3 - Please do not spoon feed users. Point them in the right direction, no doubt, but do not give everything on a platter. Let the user do some research and work. It helps both the user and the community that way. Otherwise, it just feeds the help-vampires (not that the OP is one --- I am speaking generally here)

@Inxsible: Ok, message received, but the command should be

pacman -Syyu

else he'll have problems.

Re: Installing nVidia Geforce 2 MX 400

Thanks to Inxsible and lucak3 first of all. I have read a lot in the beginners documentation of Arch Wiki. I have edited the mirrors list and removed a lot of hashes ( # ).
I've typed in that command which lucak3 mentioned and it again shows:-

# pacman -Syyu

Try only enabling one main mirror in your mirror list. The first two line smile don't enable / remove all the hash it will makes a database conflict smile.
