I have a few problems with sound:
1- alsaconf says that I have no PnP or PCI card. (I'm pretty sure that my card is PCI)
2- When I run alsamixer, I see only one bar (which is muted). I change the card from "default" to "HDA Nvidia" using F6; but when I run it back, I see my configurations weren't saved.
3- There is no Login Sound. I only hear a weird buzz for a few seconds. I have disabled GNOME Login Sound from Startup Applications, but it didn't work.
4- I tried to run "/usr/bin/canberra-gtk-play --id="desktop-login" --description="GNOME Login"" to hear if it works right, but it says that the file or data is not found.
5- When I use an application like espeak, it makes a buzz for a few seconds then it says the word.
My audio card is nVidia Corporation™ MCP61 High Definition Audio.
What's wrong with it?
