Firefox theme problem

ARCH Firefox 1.0.4 won't install a new theme but will save the theme file.  How do I install a saved theme?

Oh, I tried installing a theme as root and it still saved the theme file.  Firefox 1.0.4 on other Linux distros works fine with installing themes.  My preferences for web features has install software checked and addons.mozilla.org is allowed to install.

Re: Firefox theme problem

Drag drop the theme into the theme listing.

Re: Firefox theme problem

installing from main site, download, and  "use theme". later - [Tools] - [ Themes] select and [Use theme]
You must restart firefox for the theme to take effect.
Also check your .mozilla/firefox/abc-xyz.default/directory is writeable. acknowledgement from the download manager that the file has been grabbed doesn't always guarantee its actually been written.
