i'm currently using kde but i want cool transparency effects wich are very slow under kde.
fluxbox looks cool.
so should i use fluxbox or is blackbox ok, too cause fluxbox is based on blackbox?
can i use kde and fluxbox/blackbox parallel?

well, if you're used to a DE (ala KDE) then you'd probably want to go with XFCE.... xfce also supports transparency pretty well

I personally like fluxbox a little better, although I do use blackbox at times, too. I'd suggest trying both of them since they are both very small and really easy to install.

with what command do i start fluxbox or XFCE (like kdm for kde [in daemons])?

I start mine using an .xinitrc file:
exec fluxbox
...or for XFCE:
exec startxfce4

so where's the differnce between blackbox and fluxbox - which to use ?

Fluxbox seems to be a little more flexible in my opinion, so I like it slightly better. If you decide to try fluxbox, be sure to enable the "unstable" repo in pacman.conf and load fluxbox 9.13 with "pacman -Syu fluxbox-devel".
Version 9.13 is much better than the older version kept in the current repo.

I use Fluxbox and like because developments are going on adjusting with current Xserver. Also FluxMenu tool is good when making/editing the menu. What I don't like is the FluxConf compared to BBconf for making menu and toolbar layout. Not a problem, BBconf works in FluxBox, though, Arch package (bbconf) conflicts with fluxbox, requires force install (pacman -Sf bbconf).
