rtorrent have problem connecting to trackers, and I have a slow dl

Hi!
I got a sheevaplug that I just installed with plugbox, and my friend persuaded me to use rtorrent, which I think is nice as it got no gui.
Anyway the problem I got is that I cant connect to trackers, I have forwarded one port which I also use with utorrent (not simultaneously).

with few torrent I do get connected with the trackers but the dl speed is often
rtorrent:  ul: 200kb/s   dl 70 kb/s
utorrent: ul 100kb/s    dl 800 kb/s

So Iam just asking, how do I get rtorrent to connect to trackers properly and how do I fix rtorrent dl speed.

nd enable/modify the options as needed. Remember to
# uncomment the options you wish to enable.

# Same as above but for seeding completed torrents (-1 = same as downloading)
#min_peers_seed = 10
#max_peers_seed = 50

# Default directory to save the downloaded torrents.

# Default session directory. Make sure you don't run multiple instance
# of rtorrent using the same session directory. Perhaps using a
# relative path?
session = /media/henext/rtorrent/ndownloads

# Watch a directory for new torrents, and stop those that have been

# Enable DHT support for trackerless torrents or when all trackers are down.
# May be set to "disable" (completely disable DHT), "off" (do not start DHT),

# Hash read-ahead controls how many MB to request the kernel to read
# ahead. If the value is too low the disk may not be fully utilized,
# while if too high the kernel might not be able to keep the read
# pages in memory thus end up trashing.
#hash_read_ahead = 10

# Interval between attempts to check the hash, in milliseconds.

# Number of attempts to check the hash while using the mincore status,
# before forcing. Overworked systems might need lower values to get a
# decent hash checking rate.

thx for your help

try limiting your upload rate instead of keeping it unlimited. That might help with your download speed and you should see an increase in down speed

Re: rtorrent have problem connecting to trackers, and I have a slow dl

hahaha, was just going to ask why I couldnt see any change in ul, because i set the limit to 150 but it was still 200.
silly me forgot to remove #.

But I cant really say I see a difference in dl speed, or maybe an insignificant change.
