Trying to access Virtualbox remotely, using Virtualbox's built-in remote desktop server.
It runs on port 3389, so I added a line to /etc/hosts.allow:
3389: ALL : ALLOW
(is that correct?)
After restarting the network, I still can't connect. Furthermore, when I nmap my computer, I don't see port 3389. Why can't I get this port to open?
EDIT -- I should add that I don't have a firewall running.

I think it should be:
# allow all to 3389
3389: ALL
or
# allow 1.2.3.4, 192.*.*.* and 10.*.*.* to 3389
3389: 1.2.3.4, 192., 10.,
but I would start by making sure you can even connect locally

Thanks for your response.
Unfortunately, I cannot even connect locally (ERROR: connect: Connection refused) . Is there a way to troubleshoot this?
